CRAWLEY, U.K., August 8, 2017 – Cadet Pilots from L3 Commercial Training Solutions’ (CTS) Airline Academy (L3 Airline Academy) will be featured in a new ITV documentary, “easyJet: Inside the Cockpit.”
Leveraging unprecedented access to commercial pilot training and flying, the production brings to life the training program for Cadets during their time at L3 Airline Academy and on through their first flight as newly qualified Co-Pilots for easyJet. The documentary is split into two episodes – the first will air on ITV1 at 21:00 BST on Monday, August 14, 2017, with the following one on August 21 at the same time.
Over the course of two 60-minute episodes, the production will run through the challenging assessment process that aspiring pilots are required to undergo in order to secure a place with L3 Airline Academy, as well as the rigorous instruction and training that is delivered throughout the two-year program to become a qualified easyJet Pilot. The series further showcases the innovative airline-focused training that L3 Airline Academy delivers to its Cadet Pilots, as well as the high level of development and support provided by easyJet once pilots become qualified.
“This documentary will be hugely compelling as it illustrates not just the challenges and rewards of an exciting career as an Airline Pilot, but the rigorous training required for Cadet Pilots to transition seamlessly into commercial flight operations,” said Alan Crawford, President of L3 CTS. “We are delighted to have this opportunity to provide insight into our Airline Pilot career programs, which deliver the highest-caliber pilots and enable us to launch dream careers for aspiring aviators. With the forecasted global pilot shortage, it is important to demonstrate how the industry can work together to supply the right quality and quantity of pilots. We’re determined to inspire a new generation to embark upon an Airline Pilot career.”
